Social innovation, a strategy in social entrepreneurship (based on systemic thinking) (case study of non-governmental organizations in Aran and Bidgol cities)

Background and purpose: Social innovation is a kind of new change and an important factor in management system, entrepreneurship and creation of global competition. One of the dynamic environments for creating social innovation is non-governmental organizations that are formed based on the different individual and social needs of people in different times and places. The purpose of this research is to investigate social innovation as a strategy in social entrepreneurship (based on systemic thinking) in non-governmental organizations.
Methodology: The current research was of applied purpose and in terms of data collection, it was a (combined) method. In the qualitative part, using semi-structured interview and thematic analysis method, it has tried to identify the factors affecting social innovation from the point of view of senior managers of non-governmental organizations. The quantitative part was survey-correlation. The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire whose validity was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha coefficient (higher than 0.7). The statistical population of the research is 57 people from the managers of non-governmental organizations in Aran and Bidgol cities in 2018, who were investigated in a full-count manner.
Findings: The results of the research hypothesis show that there is a positive and significant relationship between systemic thinking and social innovation (p<0.001 and r=0.416). The descriptive findings of the research indicate that although most of the respondents have a tendency towards social innovation, there are some different and conflicting views about the tendency towards social innovation and systematic thinking.
Conclusion: Systematic social innovation (based on relationships and regular structure) due to its direct impact on solving global challenges and helping to improve the social future (empowerment, business capacity building), by using the existing strategic goals in non-governmental organizations can Be a pioneer in the field of social entrepreneurship.
