Abstract

The present research was conducted with the aim of predicting responsibility based on motivational beliefs with the mediating effect of self-regulation of learning. The number of 325 female secondary school students in the three fields of humanities and experimental sciences, mathematics and physics in the 1st and 3rd districts in the academic year 1403-1402 were selected using the cluster sampling method. They responded to three academic self-regulation questionnaires of Bouffard (1995), motivational beliefs of Pintrich et al. (1990), Goff questionnaire (1987). 26SPSS software was used to check descriptive statistics and 24AMOS software was used for structural equations. A significant relationship was found between motivational beliefs with responsibility, responsibility with self-regulation, and motivational beliefs with self-regulation. From the research, it can be concluded that motivational beliefs are effective in predicting responsibility with the mediating role of learning self-regulation. Also, it is very useful to pay attention to educational programs to promote responsibility and create motivation, self-regulation of students in their academic progress and students' learning.
