Due to widespread penetration of cyberspace, this study is devoted to investigating socio-economic status as the key factor that impacts on citizens’ attitudes toward internet and cyberspace. The main object of this research is to know the relation between soci-economic status and people’s attitudes toward cyberspace. The research was conducted in 2022 and included 384 citizens who lived in Kashan and were selected via cluster sampling method. The theoretical framework of the research was a combination of Bourdieu’s capitals theory, neo-Marxist and neo-Veberian theories on class, and Castels-Ragneda’s digital world and capital theory. Findings showed a direct relation of socio-economic status of citizens and their attitudes toward cyberspace. It means, the higher the socio-economic status, the more positive the attitude towards cyberspace. Among the components of socio-economic status, the ascribed status of respondents had a reverse effect, but other elements such as capitals and job position-conditions had a direct relation with the attitudes toward cyberspace.
